2. What we collect
We only collect what we need, and mostly what you choose to give us:
- Contact and enquiries: your name, email address, phone number and message when you write to us or ask for a project quote.
- Job applications: when you apply on rootkore.com/careers we collect your name, email, phone, the role and department you apply for, years of experience, expected salary, a LinkedIn or portfolio link, a short message and the CV you upload.
- Business relationships: contact details and business information of clients, partners and suppliers.
- Technical data: basic technical information our servers record when you visit (IP address, browser type, pages requested and time), used for security and to keep the site running.
- Social media data: described separately in section 4.
3. How we use it
- To answer your enquiries and prepare proposals.
- To review job applications, contact candidates and run our hiring process.
- To deliver and support our services and to manage our client relationships.
- To run, schedule and measure our social media content and respond to messages and comments.
- To keep our website and systems secure, and to meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decisions that significantly affect you.
7. How long we keep it
- Enquiries: for as long as needed to deal with them and for a reasonable period afterwards.
- Job applications: for the recruitment process and up to 12 months afterwards, so we can contact you about similar roles. You can ask us to delete your application earlier at any time.
- Client and business records: for the length of the relationship and as long as the law requires.
- Social media access tokens and data: until the account is disconnected, then deleted.
8. Your rights
You can ask us at any time to give you a copy of your personal data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or withdraw a consent you gave us. To use any of these rights, write to support@rootkore.com. We will reply within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in Egypt.
9. Deleting your data
To have your data deleted, follow the steps on our data deletion page. This applies to job applications, enquiries and any data we hold from a connected social media account.
10. Security
We protect personal data with access controls, encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted storage for CVs and applicant data (available only to signed-in administrators), and limited internal access. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe and will tell you and the authorities where the law requires if something goes wrong.
11. Children
Our website and services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes will be announced on this page.
13. Contact us
Questions about this policy or your data? Write to support@rootkore.com or to ROOTKORE, 6 Al Mamlik, El-Montaza, Heliopolis, Cairo, Egypt.
4. Social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok)
ROOTKORE uses an internal campaign tool to manage its own social media accounts, and, where a client has asked us to and authorised it, the client's accounts. The tool connects to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok through each platform's official API, only after an account administrator signs in and approves the connection.
When a connection is approved we may receive and store:
We use this data only to publish, schedule, measure and respond on those accounts. We do not sell it, use it for advertising profiles, or share it with anyone other than the service providers needed to run the tool. Access can be withdrawn at any time by disconnecting the app in the platform's settings (for example Facebook: Settings → Business integrations, LinkedIn: Settings → Data privacy → Permitted services, TikTok: Settings → Security → Manage app permissions), or by telling us, and we will delete the stored tokens and the data we kept from that account.
Your use of those platforms is also governed by their own policies: Meta, LinkedIn and TikTok.
